- This is a special photo mosaic that was based on a lot of photos. It was created with a custom program for large datasets using all JPEG images from Commos 2003-2020, which was about 53 million images and a little over 100 TB. The special thing about this mosaic is that although it has only a very coarse resolution of 15 by 20 tiles, the main subject is quite well recognizable.

- Comment Quite nice (it reminds me my own painting), but on the technical aspect, there are some white and black strokes visible on the edges of some squares at the right and at the bottom left. Is worth a correction. Impressive assemblage -- Basile Morin (talk) 04:34, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Comment This is due to the procedure of using square cutouts from the images, but always in the maximum size. If there are black or white stripes on the edge of the original image, but they exceed others in color uniformity, they are set by the program as well. F7a8 (talk) 09:09, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- True there is a frame around this file and others, but could you crop the original images, so as to remove the black borders, and then feed your software? Or just fix the few squares manually, using an image software like Photoshop? -- Basile Morin (talk) 23:27, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Question What happened with the voting period? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:07, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Comment Could be my mistake as there was a longer time between nomination steps. The process looks completed, can I repeat it? F7a8 (talk) 09:09, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- F7a8, you created this nomination on 19 May 2021, but forgot to put it here on the FPC list, and the Bot goes by the creation date when closing nominations. I have removed the Bot-closing for now. Perhaps admin A.Savin would be so kind as to reset this nomination, I'm not exactly sure how to do it. You also erased/omitted the gallery for this image. It is in fact a very elaborate collage so it would fall into the 'Non-photographic media/Computer-generated' gallery. I have added it for you and please don't remove that entry on future nominations. --Cart (talk) 10:10, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Done. --A.Savin 13:24, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Great effort, but the content in the individual photos that clashes with the referenced composition makes this less than ideally smooth to me at a fairly small size (merely full screen on my 13-inch laptop, not close to 100%, at which size the deviation from the referenced composition should be more pronounced, so that's fine). -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:09, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose mostly agree with Ikan. I don't know why anyone would consider this our best work.Seven Pandas (talk) 02:02, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Note A new much bigger resolution is uploaded. I think it's a rather cool compilation, showcasing works from all over Commons in a new way. --Cart (talk) 21:19, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per Ikan. Daniel Case (talk) 02:32, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per others. Also the comment "photo mosaic generated out of 53 mio images" is definitely wrong, maybe the software picked from 53 mio images 300 images. This should be changed. -- -donald- (talk) 08:45, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
