- Support for the colors, the resolution, and the level of details. -- Yann (talk) 11:24, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- Question Is there something wrong with the file? When trying to download the full size image, nothing happens. I can only look at the thumbnail.--Peulle (talk) 11:55, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- It is simply too large for your computer. Mine too. --Cart (talk) 12:52, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think so. It's a Macbook Pro and I have opened bigger images than this one before. Has anyone succeeded in opening this?--Peulle (talk) 23:50, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
- I can view it in browser and download to the computer and view without a problem. Not sure why you could be having issues except for possibly inadequate memory. — Huntster (t @ c) 00:36, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Impossible for me also to download the file, I can only open it on my screen for a basic display. As it is practically not really usable in state for most of us, @Huntster: could you upload an alternative downsized version (example 8'000 or 12'000 pixels large) with a link on this one, so that we can reuse it easily ? I tried, but again the Wikimedia servers refused any higher resolution than 4000 pixels large only -- Basile Morin (talk) 02:11, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Peulle and Basile Morin: , I've uploaded File:NGC 3372a-12k res.jpg at 12k wide. How is that for you? I can reduce further if needed. — Huntster (t @ c) 07:47, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Support but please "Images should have a meaningful file name" -- Basile Morin (talk) 11:12, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- NGC 3372 is the scientific name for the nebula so the most exact name/designation it can have to not be mixed up with other nebulae. Sort of the space equivalent of names in Latin for plants and animals. --Cart (talk) 11:55, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Lol, I thought it was the name of the file from the camera. Thanks -- Basile Morin (talk) 00:27, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
- No worries, none of us can know everything. I made the same mistake with a damsell... Clearly not my area of expertise. :) --Cart (talk) 01:27, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
