- Oppose It is important please voters to check existing FPs, although this image is in a category of one making that a bit more difficult. There are several meerkat FPs in the Category:Suricata suricatta which are of higher quality and are not in a zoo setting. Charles (talk)
- Support It still looks nice and I can also accept a photo in a zoo setting. These animals are really funny and we can have more than one photo of them I think. --Tremonist (talk) 16:11, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Comment Of course meerkats are cute, but the image must be 'the finest on Commons'. Charles (talk) 16:51, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- In the category, there are other good and interesting photos that are not FP yet, it appears, I'd thus like to thank you, Charles, for giving us this hint. What do you think, how many 'finest' meerkats could possibly be accepted? --Tremonist (talk) 16:55, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- quite a few if they are all showing something special and are all FP quality - male; female; juveniles; groups; eating, fighting; mating; digging; standing on trees/rocks/people/each other etc! Charles (talk) 18:08, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose per Charles. Point of view much too high imo. --Kadellar (talk) 20:02, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose Per Charles. Background is way too distracting, especially with the animal having similar colors. Daniel Case (talk) 17:03, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose I love those little fellas, but among all the Meerkat shots I've seen so far, this is neither particularly droll nor photographically outstanding. --El Grafo (talk) 13:10, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
