- I think this is just a beautiful, surreal historical photograph, wonderfully composed. It shows an (unmanned) blimp which was felled by a nuclear test at the Nevada Test Site in 1957. The people to the right of the blimp give a sense of the scale. To me it resembles a post-apocalyptic Hindenberg, with a wonderful sense of symmetry, and is just a breathtaking image for reasons I don't claim to fully understand. Very high resolution original.
