- Info This file was recently overwritten in violation of COM:OVERWRITE but I will be commenting on the version uploaded by Dcoetzee: not in SVG; quite small for a digital map; the graphic quality is subpar with pixels visible everywhere; the parts where political boundaries follow the rivers are badly drawn; no border between Czernihów/Chernihiv Voivodeship and Kijów/Kiev/Kyiv Voivodeship; Kijów/Kiev/Kyiv Voivodeship has its southernmost edge excluded for no reason; the shapes of Estonia, Ingria, and Gulf of Finland are wrong (see here); the angle of Sweden's coastline is too slanted; the island of Saaremaa/Ösel is shown as part of Denmark but Blekinge and Gotland are not; the placement and size of labels are messy (Original nomination)
- Delist File:Podział administracyjny I RP.png is a much better map that fulfills the same purpose -- StellarHalo (talk) 06:20, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Delist per nom. It's not a bad map at all, certainly one of the best we had in 2005. But it is much less clear than it could be (applies to both the featured version and the one uploaded recently). Some quick suggestions for simple tricks to clean this up considerably, if somebody wants to give it a try: There is not much reason for the surrounding countries to have different colors. That's only distracting from the color coding of the relevant areas. Just let them all have the same color and label them in the map, there's enough space for that. Sweden & Denmark can be separated by adding some border lines between the islands. Labels intersect with line features like rivers way more often than necessary, many of them could be moved to a better place. Addition of light halos to the label text can also help readability in areas where intersections with line features cannot be avoided. Rivers and those brownish-grey border lines are missing from the legend. The latter seem to belong together with the labels in all caps, but that's something you have to guess because the labels use a different color. The 2020 version's legend is pieced together, even using 2 different fonts. No info on the spatial reference (Map datum/projection/CRS) is given – depending on which projection was used, some of the shapes criticized above as being wrong/distorted might actually be correct, but we have no way of knowing that. --El Grafo (talk) 08:48, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
- Delist per nom; too low resolution and too simple boundaries and coastlines.--Peulle (talk) 08:53, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
