Question There are many goats in Ardèche, and we have some specimen here in "Commons". I have some questions: how is this one so special among the goats in Ardèche ? Are goats in Ardèche different from goats of other french departments ?--Jebulon (talk) 11:40, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It is part of a specific group to the wild Ardèche for over 50 years.--Medium69 You wanted talk to me? 11:55, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You have not linked the text in the file to any source that verifies your assertion, nor could I find any verification that these goats are special. (See Criteria 4.2) Martinvl (talk) 20:29, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry sources are in French : http://www.dndp.fr/2011/09/les-chevres-des-gorges-de-lardeche-menacees-2/ and http://www.dndp.fr/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/SGGA4.png (Originally, it was domestic goats escaped. Their descendants continue to live in the wild.) --Medium69 You wanted talk to me? 20:44, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If no Wikipedia references are available, then at least one of these references should be included with the image. The English text could be something like "Wild goat in Ardèche descended from a pair of goats that escaped in 1970.Reference " (and something similar with the French text). The reference does not have to be in English and of course in the French version of the text you would link to fr:Ardèche (département), not en:Ardèche. •  Oppose The specimen shown here is not a wild goat. Domestic goats are subspecies Capra aegagrus hircus. It should here be considered a sub-sub-species it is called forma. But here the phenotype is not clearly defined and above all there is a polymorphism that makes recognition, using a single image, impossible. The purpose of VI to label being reference pictures that purpose can not be achieved. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:05, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
