زن در ایران پیش از این ز افراد ایرانی نبودپیشه‌اش جز تیره‌روزی و پریشانی نبود
زندگی و مرگش اندر کنج عزلت می‌گذشتزن چه بود آنروزها گر زآنکه زندانی نبود
کس چو زن اندر سیاهی قرنها منزل نکردکس چو زن در معبد سالوس قربانی نبود
در عدالتخانهٔ انصاف زن شاهد نداشتدر دبستان فضیلت زن دبستانی نبود
دادخواهی‌های زن میماند عمری بی‌جوابآشکارا بود این بیداد، پنهانی نبود
بس کسان را جامه و چوب شبانی بود لیکدر نهاد جمله گرگی بود چوپانی نبود
از برای زن بمیدان فراخ زندگیسرنوشت و قسمتی جز تنگ میدانی نبود
نور دانش را ز چشم زن نهان می‌داشتنداین ندانستن ز پستی و گرانجانی نبود
زن کجا بافنده میشد بی نخ و دوک هنرخرمن و حاصل نبود آنجا که دهقانی نبود
میوه‌های دکهٔ دانش فراوان بود لیکبهر زن هرگز نصیبی زین فراوانی نبود
در قفس می‌آرمید و در قفس می‌داد جاندر گلستان نام از این مرغ گلستانی نبود
آب و رنگ از علم می‌بایست شرط برتریبا زمرد یاره و لعل بدخشانی نبود
جلوهٔ یک پرنیان چون یک قبای ساده نیستعزت از شایستگی بود از هوسرانی نبود
ارزش پوشنده کفش و جامه را ارزنده کردقدر و پستی با گرانی و بارزانی نبود
سادگی و پاکی و پرهیز یک یک گوهرندگوهر تابنده تنها گوهر کانی نبود
از زر و زیور چه سود آنجا که نادانست زنزیور و زر پرده‌پوش عیب و نادانی نبود
عیبها را جامهٔ پرهیز پوشانده ا‌ست و بسجامه عجب و هوا بهتر ز عریانی نبود
زن، سبکساری نه‌بیند تا گرانسنگ است و پاکپاک را آسیبی از آلوده دامانی نبود
زن چون گنجور است و عفت گنج و حرص و آز دزدوای اگر آگه ز آئین نگهبانی نبود
اهرمن بر سفرهٔ تقوی نمیشد میهمانزانکه میدانست آنجا جای مهمانی نبود
پا براه راست باید داشت کاندر راه کجتوشه‌ٔ هر ره نوردی جز پشیمانی نبود
چشم و دل را پرده میبایست اما از عفافچادر پوسیده بنیاد مسلمانی نبود
خسروا دست توانای تو کرد این شاهکارورنه در این کار سخت امید آسانی نبود
شه نمیشد گر در این گم گشته کشتی ناخدایساحلی پیدا از این دریای طوفانی نبود
باید این انوار را پروین بچشم عقل دیدمهر روشن را نباید گفت نورانی نبود
