Description |
This small wooden panel is attributed, without much evidence, an engagement portrait of Princess Mary Tudor. It was altered at a later date from a portrait into an image of Saint Mary Magdalene by the addition of the saint's attribute - the pot of ointment she used to anoint the feet of Christ. |
