English: Antonio Cortina Farinos: El Invierno, allegory of winter, oil on canvas glued to wood, 146 x 120 cm
Español: Alegoría del Invierno. Oleo/lienzo pegado a madera. 146x120 cms. Procede del derribo de la casa núm. 19 de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia, donde vivió el fotógrafo Antonio García Peris, suegro del pintor Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida. Formó parte de la alegoría de las cuatro estaciones que decoraban el techo del comedor; la pintura fue trasladada del techo a madera en 1962 por el artista Luis Roig d´Alós. Actualmente forma parte de la colección pictórica del Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia. |
