Italiano: "Maria Anna (1666-1739) Madamigella di Blois sposa nel 1680 Luigi Armando principe di Conti (1661-1685). Ella era figlia legittimata di Luigi XIV e di Luisa de la Baume, duchessa de la Valliera (1644-1710), amante di Luigi XIV e morta monaca. L'opera in esame, nota come ritratto di Madamigella de la Valliera, lascia supporre una sua esecuzione anteriore al 1680, anno delle nozze con il principe di Conti. Nello stesso Salotto Rosso si conserva un ritratto della principessa di Conti (dunque post 1680), eseguito dal pittore Jérémie Delutel nell'ultimo quarto del XVII secolo"
