Description
The watermill in Silkeborg was first mentioned in 1578. In 1844 it was demolished and Silkeborg Papirfabrik (paper mill) was built on the site, also using the water for its machinery. Kieldrup made a larger painting of the watermill in 1849, now at Silkeborg Museum.
