Description
English: Shield of the coat of arms of the Catholic diocese of Austin, Texas, USA, based on the description on the diocesan website (remade from scratch in vector form). Adapted by the diocese from certain old Austen/Austin family arms such as Argent, on a fess between two chevrons Sable, three crosses-crosslets Argent and/or Argent, on a fess between two chevrons sable, three crosses Or etc. (which may or may not have an authentic historical connection to Stephen F. Austin, the namesake of the city of Austin).

The full heraldic achievement would have an episcopal mitre on top of the shield.
