English: The Johanneskirche (St John’s Church) in Billensbach, a hamlet belonging to Beilstein, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This picture shows the altar, seen from the end of the nave. The photograph is intentionally dark: this is the first impression you get when you have just entered the church. The stained glass windows glow even more colourful.
Deutsch: Die Johanneskirche in Billensbach, einem Weiler bei Beilstein in Baden-Württemberg. Diese Aufnahme zeigt den Blick vom Ende des Kirchenschiffes zum Altar. Die Dunkelheit der Aufnahme ist Absicht: sie gibt den Eindruck wieder, den man kurz nach dem Eintreten in die Kirche hat. Die bunten Glasfenster treten dafür umso leuchtender hervor. |
