Deutsch: Wahrscheinlich anläßlich der Doppelverlobung der Enkel Maximilians 1515 in Wien gemalt; 1520 im Besitz des kaiserlichen Historiographen Johannes Cuspinian, der die Darstellung zur heiligen Sippe uminterpretierte, indem er von Strigel selbst die Rückseite der Tafel (GG 6411) bemalen und durch Hinzufügung eines rechten Flügels (mit einem Familienbildnis Cuspinians als dritten Zweig der hl. Sippe, heute Privatbesitz) zum Diptychon ergänzen ließ; In den 90er Jahren des 16. Jahrhunderts in der kaiserlichen Porträtsammlung in Wien nachweisbar. |
