Description
Español: Escudo del régimen de Franco según modelo creado por Juan Cabanas Erausquin, citado en Andoni Esparza Leibar, Emblemata, 12 (2006), pp. 231-274, ISSN 1137-1056. 252. y descripción del Decreto de 2 de Febrero de 1938 sobre Constitución del Escudo de España, publicado en el Boletín Oficial del Estado del 3 de Febrero de 1938, no. 470:Cuartelado. El primero y el cuarto, cuartelados también: también primero y cuarto de gules, con un castillo de oro almenado con tres almenas, con tres homenajes o torres con tres almenas cada uno, mamposteado de sable y aclarado de azur; segundo y tercero de plata, con un león rampante de gules coronado de oro, linguado y armado de lo mismo. Segundo y tercero, partidos en pal: el primero de oro, con cuatro palos de gules: el segundo, de gules, con una cadena de oro, de la cual arrancan ocho segmentos que se reunen en el centro en una joya, centrada por una esmeralda. Entado en punta, de plata, con una granada en su color rajada de gules y tallada y hojada con dos hojas de sinople. Coronel de ocho florones (visibles cinco). El todo sobre el águila de San Juan, pasmada, de sable, nimbada de oro, con el pico y las garras de gules: estas armadas de oro. A la derecha de la cola del águila, un yugo de gules, con sus cintas de lo mismo, y a la izquierda un haz de flechas, de gules con sus cintas de lo mismo. En la divisa las palabras "Una" "Grande", "Libre". El todo flanqueado por dos columnas de plata sobre ondas de azur, surmontadas por coronas de oro. En la del lado derecho se enrosca una cinta con la palabre "Plus"; en la del lado izquierdo, otra con la palabra "Ultra".. Este modelo fue el oficial en España hasta 1945.

Description:Quarterly, 1. and 4. grand quarters counterquartered, first and fourth Gules a castle triple-turreted each turret with three embattlements Or masoned Sable gate and windows Azure, second and third Argent a lion Gules crowned langued and armed Or, 2. and 3. per pale Or four pallets Gules and Gules on a chain in cross, saltire and orle Or an emerald. In base Argent a pomegranate Proper seeded Gules slipped with two leaves Vert. A coronet with eight flowers of which five visible. The whole on the eagle of St John displayed with wings inverted nimbed Or beaked and membered Gules armed Or, to its right and left a yoke and a bundle of arrows both with strings all Gules. The cri-de-guerre "Una Grande Libre" (one great free [nation]).
