Notes The painting is a copy of Maratta's original housed in the chapel of Santa Maria di Carignano, Genoa. It's possible that this copy was executed by Rolando Marchelli, Maratta's disciple, or by Domenico Piola, following a request by Domenico Sauli, one of the first owners of the original composition.
