Description
Español: Retrato del rey Carlos II de España (1661-1700). El monarca tenía diez años de edad cuando posó para este retrato y aparece vestido totalmente de negro y con su mano izquierda apoyada en una consola sostenida por leones y en la que se halla su sombrero negro. Esta obra fue adquirida por el Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias en 1981.

English: Portrait of King Charles II of Spain (1661-1700). The monarch was ten years old when he posed for this portrait and appears dressed entirely in black and with his left hand resting on a console held by lions and where is a black hat. This painting was acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias in 1981. The painting was made in a room of the former Royal Alcázar of Madrid. These lions are preserved today forming part of the Throne Room in the Royal Palace of Madrid.
