Description
Dansk: Otto Marstrand rejste til Dansk Vestindien i 1830, og da han var hjemme i 1841 ønskede hans mor at få malet et portræt. Wilhelm Marstrand var endnu ikke kommet hjem fra Italien, så portrættet blev malet af Christen Købke.
English: Otto Marstrand had gone to the Danish West-Indies in 1830. In 1841 he made a short visit to Copenhagen and his mother wanted a painting of him. Wilhelm Marstrand had not yet returned from Italy, so the assignment went to Christen Købke.
