Solgt på etatsråd , professor Münsters auction 23/8 1811 nr. 19: En skopudser i Paris malet efter naturen af Lorentzen for 100 rd til Claus Bang, i hvis Vermichniss(?) sind sehr auserlassen u. hochbaren Ge.... Samlung Kopenh. 1816. Dette billede var nr. 112 i Bangs samling købt 1825 af kronprins Chr. Fr., og dette maleri overgik ved Chr VIII's død til enkedronning Caroline Amalie på hvis auktion 1882, det solgtes som nr. 106 til grosserer Friedlænder (Original painting of an old man. H. 59. B. 50. Painted in Paris 1780. Sold with the estate of professor Münster, August 23 1811, no. 19 as A shoe polisher in Paris, painted by Lorentzen from nature, for 100 RDL to Claus Bang. Was number 112 in his collection and bought in 1825 by crown prince Christian Frederik. After his death became the property of former queen Caroline Amalie. Sold at her auction in 1882 as no. 106 to the merchant Friedlænder). At the 1882 auction, the title was En gammel Savoyard (And old man from Savoy).
