Object history |
English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Hobro known from town seals since 1648. The arms are canting and depicts a bride ('bro' in Danish) over the Ho, a part of Mariager Fjord. Seals prior to 1648 also depicted the bridge but without the knights.
Dansk: Købstaden Hobros byvåben. Kendt fra bysegl siden 1648. Våbnet er talende og afbilder en bro over Ho, en del af Mariager Fjord. Bro-motivet kendes også på segl før 1648, men dog uden de to riddere. |
