Object history |
English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Ringkøbing. The motive is known from town seals since 1608 but probably dates back to 1580. The eagle might be canting and refer to the town Ørneborg (eagles' town) which was situated nearby in medieval times.
Dansk: Ringkøbings byvåben. Motivet er kendt fra bysegl siden 1608, men stammer sandsynligvis fra 1580. Ørnen er måske talende, og refererer til byen Ørneborg, der lå tæt på Ringkøbing i middelalderen. |
