English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Slagelse. Based on town seal known since 1519 whose style indicates an origin in the 13th or 14th century. The arms depict the town's patron St. Michael with the dragon. The towers symbolise the two churches in town.
Dansk: Slagelse byvåben. Baseret på bysegl kendt fra 1519, hvis stil dog tyder på en oprindelse i det 13. eller 14. århundrede. Våbnet viser byens skytshelgen Skt. Michael med dragen. De to tårne symboliserer byens to kirker. |
