The green color of the Imperial Crown of Brazil comes from the Imperial crown itself. The color red in two-dimensional version is an adaptation of the Crown Prince of Portugal: "Prince of Brazil" (as inheritor of Portugal), designed by the French painter Jean-Baptiste Debret and later to be the arms of the Empire of Brazil.
