Deutsch: Teil eines Zyklus’ von Darstellungen der Liebesabenteuer des Jupiter in verwandelter Gestalt, die Correggio um 1530/32 für den Herzog von Mantua, Federico II. anfertigte. Neben der »Leda« sind noch drei weitere Bilder des Zyklus erhalten: das Gemälde der »Danae« in Rom sowie der »Raub des Ganymed« und »Io«, beide in Wien.
