Object history
Deutsch: Die älteste Wappendarstellung liegt auf einer Wappenscheibe aus dem Jahre 1512 vor. Das Kreuz ist dem Wappen der Abtei Reichenau entnommen. Allensbach war 724 dem Kloster geschenkt worden und unterstand bis 1803 dem konstanzischen Obervogteiamt Reichenau. Die Fische weisen auf den für Allensbach bedeutsamen Fischfang hin. Ihre Anzahl, Farbe und Anordnung wechselte mehrmals. Nach verschiedenen Varianten zeigen die seit 1880 gebrauchten Farbstempel das oben beschriebene, 1904 in der Tingierung festgelegte Wappen. Nach der Neubildung der Gemeinde durch Eingemeindung von Kaltbrunn und Langenrain und Vereinigung mit Hegne wurden Allensbach das bisher geführte Wappen und die am 2. Dezember 1960 vom Innenministerium verliehene Flagge vom Landratsamt Konstanz am 15. März 1976 neu verliehen.
