Object history Im Aretsrieder Gemeindewappen erinnert der grüne Dreiberg einerseits an das Kollegiatstift St. Moritz als einen der vielen Aretsrieder Grundherren, andererseits jedoch an die Familie Schellenberger als Heimberger Grundherren, die Bögen an die ebenfalls in Heimberg begüterten Grafen von Arco und das Schwert an den Patron der Aretsrieder Pfarrkirche, den "Heiligen Pankratius". Notwendigerweise spiegelt sich die starke Aufsplitterung der Flur auch in der Gestaltung des Wappens.
