Object history
Deutsch: Mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Münster vom 7. August 1973 wurde der Gemeinde Havixbeck die Führung eines Wappens, eines Banners und eines Siegels genehmigt. Havixbeck ist der Ort am Habichtsbach. Das Gemeindewappen mit Habicht, Bach und Berg zeigt den geographischen und historischen Ursprung des Ortes. Es handelt sich somit um ein ‘redendes Wappen’.
English: The arms were granted on August 8, 1973. The arms are canting, showing a hawk and a river. The small mountain symbolises the Baumberge area in the municipality. The silver and black colours are derived from the arms of the von Twickel family, who lived for many times on the local Estate.
