Deutsch: Das Inselwappen wurde 1949 von Alf Depser, einem in Nürnberg geborenen Wahljuister entworfen und vom niedersächsischen Innenminister genehmigt. Es entstand nach Vorlage eines Siegels der Evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Juist. Aus diesem wurden die Dünen übernommen. Die zwei silbernen Sporenräder weisen auf die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Landkreis Norden hin. |
