Description
Português: O aspecto geral deste chafariz é de uma torre ou por outra, de um reservatório, feito de alvenaria e cantaria, bastante sólido, formado de dois corpos, correndo sobre o primeiro, como cimalha pelos três lados, uma varanda de ferro, de onde, elevando-se o segundo corpo, se arremata com uma “platibanda”.

Perto da casa do guarda-mor, Pedro Dias Paes Leme, pouco abaixo do Chafariz do Lagarto, separado dele pela grande muralha inclinada do Aqueduto de Catumbi, próximo à Lagoa da Sentinela, no antigo Caminho de Catumbi, antiga Rua do Conde (do Cunha), depois Conde d’Eu e, finalmente Frei Caneca, Paulo Fernandes Vianna construiu o chafariz denominado “Catumbi”.
