Description

Egg shaped puffball (Lycoperdaceae sp.) on horizontal moss covered Mahoe (Melicytus ramiflorus) branch, Wellington, New Zealand. Approx. 1cm tall. At this stage has white flesh, but starting to turn brown on the outside. May just be growing in soil under moss rather than feeding off tree.
