Français : D'après une esquisse en cire de François Girardon, exécuté à l'Académie de France à Rome à partir de 1697. Transporté en France en 1715 et placé à Marly. Terminé en 1716 avec l'aide de Jacques Bousseau, puis placé aux Tuileries en 1717.
English: From a wax model by François Girardon. Sculpted in the Académie de France in Rome since 1697. Back to France in 1715, finished with help of Jacques Bousseau in 1716, then put in the Tuileries garden in 1717.
