Gobierno de España (1963-06-01) Retrieved on 20 July, 2013.Aunque esta descripción se publicó oficialmente así en el BOE, el 1 de junio de 1963, es incorrecta, ya que la descripción original propuesta por la Real Academia de la Historia, incluía un cuartel más, con figuras y armas correspondientes. Pero por un error en la transcripción del mecanógrafo o taquígrafo, se omitieron involuntariamente las palabras que completarían la correcta descripción del escudo, perdiendo así el actual emblema municipal toda simbología, aparte de que contiene graves inexactitudes heráldicas e históricas[1]
