Deutsch: Drei Mädchen reiten auf Eseln am Strand entlang. Sie werden von einem älteren, hinter ihnen gehenden Jungen begleitet. im Gegensatz zu den Malern der Haager Schule bildete Isaac Israels die leichte touristische Seite Scheveningens ab und arbeitete dabei oft mit Modellen, hier mit Bekannten des Malers: Suze Pont, Agatha Pauw und ihrer kleinen Schwester. Israels arbeitete schnell: ‘Arbeite vor allem nicht zu viel, nicht länger als zwei Stunden hintereinander, bemühe dich nicht zu lange, sonst verlierst du deine Frische.’
Nederlands: Ezeltje rijden langs het strand. Drie meisjes maken een ritje op ezels op het strand. Een lopende jongen begeleidt de ezels.
