Palaeopneustes hemingi, Anderson, a Sea-urchin discovered by Dr. A. R. S. Anderson in the depths of the Laccadive Sea. It is hardly different from the Palaeopneustes cristatus dredged by Professor Agassiz off the West Indies. The shell has been denuded of its spines, so as to lay bare its sculpture
