English: Retrato del político español de origen Napolitano Fernando de Valenzuela (1636-1692), que llegó a ser marqués de Villasierra y caballero de la Orden de Santiago, aunque la identificación del retrato con dicho individuo no está plenamente corroborada pero es aceptada por los historiadores con algunas reservas. Figura de medio cuerpo y tres cuartos a la izquierda de hombre joven rasurado con larga melena y golilla a la moda de Carlos II, vestido de negro con mangas orladas de encaje y sentado en sillón frailero llevando la mano izquierda al pecho. Fondo aceitunado. OBSERVACIONES: En el bastidor, letrero a pluma sobre la madera que dice: Fernando de Valenzuela. Ministro de Carlos II. 1675. Original de Carreño. Cat.
