Deutsch: Hissflagge des Landkreises Kassel, Hessen

Der Kreistag Kassel hat die Annahme der nachstehend beschriebenen Flagge beschlossen, die die Genehmigungsbehörde am 9. Mai 1975 genehmigte.

„Flaggenbeschreibung: Die Flagge zeigt auf einer von Rot, Weiß und Rot im Verhältnis 1 : 3 : 1 vgeteilten Flaggenbahn in der oberen Hälfte der weißen Mittelbahn das Wappen des Landkreises.“[1]

Die Blasonierung dieses gleichzeitig genehmigten Kreiswappens lautet:

„Im von Blau und Gold schräglinks geteilten Schild oben der goldgekrönte und -bewehrte, wachsende hessische Löwe, unten drei fächerförmig gestellte grüne Eichenblätter, denen zwei hintereinander liegende, schräglinks gestellte schwarze Wolfsangeln aufgelegt sind.“[1]
Anbetrachts der Tatsache, dass in Hessen vorwiegend Banner bzw. Hochflaggen üblich sind, werden die Genehmigungsdaten und die Flaggenbeschreibung auch auf diese bezogen.
