Deutsch: Flagge der Gemeinde Hohen Sprenz, Landkreis Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Die Gemeindevertretung Hohen Sprenz hat die Annahme der nachstehend beschriebenen Flagge beschlossen, die der Innenminister von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern am 19. Juni 2009 genehmigte.

Flaggenbeschreibung:

„Gleichmäßig längsgestreift von Blau und Weiß. In der Mitte des Flaggentuchs liegt das Wappen der Gemeinde.“

Die Blasonierung des von Helmut Otte gestalteten und am gleichen Tag genehmigten Gemeindewappens, von dem diese Flagge abgeleitet ist, lautet:

„In Silber eine eingebogene blaue Spitze, belegt mit drei (2:1) nach links gewendeten silbernen Fischen; vorn zwei schräg gekreuzte schwarze Dreschflegel; hinten eine rote Kirche mit zwei Rundbogenfenstern und einem Hallenanbau mit einem rechteckigen Fenster.“
Anbetrachts der Tatsache, dass in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern vorwiegend Hissflaggen üblich sind, werden die Genehmigungsdaten und die Flaggenbeschreibung auch auf diese bezogen.
