Description |
Retrato de María de los Dolores Correas y Espínola (1799-1872), hija de Juan de Dios Correas (Mendoza, 1776 – Valparaíso, 1842) y esposa (en el retrato ya viuda) del general argentino Juan Lavalle (Buenos Aires, 17 de octubre de 1797 – San Salvador de Jujuy, 9 de octubre de 1841). A la muerte de Lavalle, Dolores se fue a Chile, donde residía su padre, con sus hijos Augusto, Hortensia, Dolores y Juan Bernabé. En 1842 hizo trasladar los restos de su esposo desde Potosí, Bolivia, a Valparaíso; en 1862 fueron finalmente llevados a la Argentina. |
