| Description |
English: Demonstration of effects of a graduated neutral density filter. Top: Picture without filter, exposure optimized for the bright sky. The rest of the image is too dark, though. Middle: Picture without filter, exposure optimized for the landscape/foreground. The sky is overexposed. Bottom: Picture with GND filter (Cokin P 121M, = ND4, effect: two f-stops). Both, sky and landscape, are well exposed.
Deutsch: Demonstration der Wirkung eines Grauverlauffilters. Das obere Foto wurde ohne Verlauffilter so belichtet, dass der helle Himmel gut durchgezeichnet erscheint. Der Landschaftsteil des Fotos ist dadurch jedoch unterbelichtet. Beim mittleren Bild, ebenfalls ohne Verlauffilter, wurde der Vordergrund günstiger/länger belichtet. Dadurch wird aber der Himmel überbelichtet und erscheint "ausgefressen". Beim unteren Foto wurde ein Grauverlauffilter eingesetzt (Cokin P 121M, = Verlauf Neutralgrau G2 [ND4], Wirkung: zwei Blendenstufen). Im Ergebnis erscheinen sowohl Himmel als auch der Vordergrund gut belichtet, ohne dass übermäßig Spitzlichter auftreten. |
