Hase-Brunnen in Hannover Der 1881 zuerst mittig vor dem Alten Rathauses aufgestellte Hase-Brunnen (schlicht auch: Marktbrunnen) ist ein Werk verschiedener Künstler: Den Entwurf für den zweischaligen Laufbrunnen mit Fisch- und Blumenverkäuferin lieferte der Architekt Conrad Wilhelm Hase. Die Figuren selbst stammen von Friedrich Wilhelm Engelhard nach einer Zeichnung von Hermann Schaper. Die Ornamente lieferte Theodor Massler, während Hermann Gladenbeck in Berlin (später: Gladenbeck & Sohn) den Guss besorgte. 1960 wurde der Brunnen auf Hannovers ältestem (bekannten) Marktplatz an den heutigen Standort versetzt. Der Hase-Brunnen hatte zwei Vorläufer, darunter den 1551 errichteten Piepenborn.
