Summary

[edit]
Description

An illustration of the fairly widely-held hypothesis (which the image author personally neither agrees with nor disagrees with) that the shape of the Western abstract "heart" or "love" symbol originally represented, or has been influenced by, the form of human female genitals (or a stylized depiction thereof). This image is self-made, partially loosely influenced by the image formerly on page http://geocities.com/womansculpture/heart_yoni.htm linked from http://geocities.com/womansculpture/gallerythree.htm (see also photograph Womans vulva.jpg).
