Français : Le décor est l’atelier de Manet. On identifie Otto Schölderer (peintre) debout à gauche et Édouard Manet représenté en train de peindre. Ensuite, assis, Zacharie Astruc (artiste et critique d’art) et debout de trois-quarts avec un chapeau sombre, Auguste Renoir. A sa droite d'abord le romancier Émile Zola et le musicien Edmond Maître, ami de Henri Fantin-Latour, puis le peintre Frédéric Bazille (de profil, très grand) et tout à droite un peu effacé Claude Monet.
