English: A high-energy capacitor used on a defibrillator. With 42 microfarad at 5000 volts, the capacitor is capable of delivering a very dangerous 525 joules of energy. In addition to warning labels, the capacitor has a resistor connecting the electrodes, to allow the capacitor to discharge slowly, for safety. The capacitor's size is 7 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches thick. |
