JPEG file comment | HOLLÓSY Simon
(1857, Máramarossziget - 1918, Técsõ) Parasztudvar szekérrel 1912 Olaj, vászon, 80 x 100 cm Magyar Nemzeti Galéria, Budapest A kép a mûvész técsõi korszakának egyik fõmûve. Felfogásában Munkácsy Mihály Poros útja és Tornyai János alföldi kopár tájai közé helyezhetjük. Hollósyt tájképeiben is a társadalmi tartalmat sugárzó hangulat megragadása izgatta, ezért is került olyan messzire a nagybányai festõk öncélúbb mûvészetszemléletétõl.Bár szálkás, bontott ecsetvonásokkal, pasztózusan rakta fel a színes reflexektõl villódzó festékrétegeket, képe mégsem a magyar falu esetleges, villanásnyi impressziója. A festõ számtalan szemlélõdésbõl leszûrt megfigyelését kristályosította sokatmondó kompozíciójába. "Lényegében a tág értelemben vett festõi realizmusnak az impresszionizmus és divizionizmus néhány elemét is gyümölcsöztetõ egyéni változatáról van szó" - írja a néprõl Németh Lajos - "amelyben a természet tárgyias szemlélete egységbe került a lírai értelmezéssel, a realizmus sok mindent magába szívott és önös stílussá vált.". HOLLÓSY, Simon (1857, Máramarossziget - 1918, Técsõ) Peasant Yard with Cart 1912 Oil on canvas, 80 x 100 cm Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest The picture is one of the most important works of Hollósy's period in Técsõ. It can be placed between Munkácsy's "Dusty Road" and János Tornyai's desert landscapes. Hollósy was interested in arresting atmospheres of a social message, this is why he was drifted so far away from the unrestrained art of the Nagybánya school. His picture is not merely an impression of a Hungarian village, it is in fact the result of observations. "This is an individual version of the painter's realism applying impressionism and divisionism in a broad sense where the objective interpretation of nature is united with a lyric one; realism absorbed much and became a self-contained style," says Lajos Németh. Type: landscape Time-line: 1876-1900 Form: painting |
