A Chinese en:bodhisattva statue crafted out of wood with traces of en:polychrome. This statue is characteristic of the many other Jin Dynasty temple statues found in northern China, with a squarish face, elaborate hairstyle, thickset upper torso, and a column-like lower body. The statue was originally fully painted, the face and hands of skin tones, the clothed attire fashioned in an array of bright colors. From the Freer and Sackler Galleries of Washington D.C.
