Description
English: The statue of Alexander II in the Helsinki Senate Square decorated with flowers on the anniversary of the death of the czar 13 March 1899. By placing flowers there, the people protested the February manifest, and the sea of flowers increased daily.
Suomi: Aleksanteri II:n patsas Helsingin senaatintorilla kukitettuna keisarin kuoleman muistopäivänä 13.3.1899. Kukkien tuominen oli kansalaisten keino protestoida helmikuun manifestia vastaan ja kukkameri oli kasvanut päivä päivältä.
Svenska: Alexander II:s staty på senatstorget i Helsingfors prydd med blommor på årsdagen av kejsarens död 13.3.1899. Genom att lägga blommor på den protesterade folket mot februarimanifestet, och blomsterhavet växte varje dag.
