"Sweerts (Hieronymus). Von einem solchen, nach der Mitte des XVII. Jahrh. zu Amsterdam gestochen, kennt man das Bildnis des Gottesgelehrten Joh. Labadie, ohne weitern Namen als den seinigen."

"SWEERTS (Hiëronimus) wordt door Nagler, volgens Füssly, als een graveur genoemd, omstreeks 1650, te Amsterdam, bedrijvig, en van wiens werk hem alleen het Portret van Johan de Labadie, zonder naam van schilder, bekend is. - Onder dit portret staat enkel het adres van den uitgever Hier. Sweerts, vooraan in de Kalverstraat, in de Dankbaarheid, en dit is dus geen bewijs, dat hij het heeft gegraveerd.
