Notes There are five copies of this picture, but this one is a reproduction of the one that is currently kept at the Ufizzi Gallery (Florence). "In another panel [Bronzino portayed] the Lady Duchess his [Cosimo's] consort; and in another the Lord Francesco their son, Prince of Florence. And not much later he portrayed another of the Duchess, one that pleased her especially, in different manner to the first, with Lord Giovanni her son beside her."
