  • Commandé avec trois autres toiles (MV 6189, MV 7415, MV 6193) par Louis XV pour la grande salle à manger du Petit Trianon, 1768 ;
  • payé, 1 avril 1771 ;
  • collection Louis XV ;
  • toile pliée dans la largeur et agrandie dans la hauteur, Monarchie de Juillet ;
  • "Ce tableau fut exposé au Salon de 1769 : le livret dit qu'il était destinbé à décorer la salle à manger du nouveau Pavillon de Trianon (le petit Trianon où il fut en effet placé). Suivant le registre de Caisse des Bâtiments du Roi (Dép.t des B.x Arts) année 1771, on voit qu'il fut peint en 1768 pour la chambre à coucher du Roi au château de Bellevue", inventaire Villot (1853) ;
  • mentionné au château de Vincennes ;
  • dépôt du Louvre à Versailles en janvier 1939 ;
  • réaccroché dans la salle à manger du Petit Trianon, 1939.
