English: Portrait of Louise-Francoise, Mademoiselle de Nantes, Duchesse de Bourbon (1673-1743) "Françoise-Marie de Bourbon, dite Mademoiselle de Blois, était une fille légitimée de Louis XIV et de Madame de Montespan. Blonde aux yeux bruns, elle épousa en 1692 le duc de Chartres, plus tard duc d’Orléans et régent du royaume. Cette fleur de jeunesse, d’après l’abbé de Monville, est ici représentée en tenue de cour, avec corsage de pierreries et manteau rouge doublé d’hermine. Elle arbore une coiffure à la Fontanges, terminée par deux accroche-cœurs sur le front et elle cueille des fleurs d’un oranger, symboles d’un heureux mariage. Cinq exemplaires de ce portrait sont connus (musée d’Orléans, de Clermont-Ferrand, palais de Monaco…). Pierre Gobert, fils d’un sculpteur, fut reçu à l’Académie Royale de peinture et de sculpture en 1701. C’était le portraitiste préféré des dames de la cour à la fin du règne de Louis XIV. Il a peint également mademoiselle de Blois en Galatée triomphante (collection particulière)." [1]
